OUR LEADERSHIP:
DFI Articles of Association recognizes three levels of Leadership. General Assembly, Board of Directors and Executive Management.
General Assembly (GA);
We maintain a list of 50 members of the GA. For you to be a member of the GA, you must have acquired shares at the company. As a member of the GA, you will attend annual meetings, second Board of Directors and supervise the Board of Directors. Board of Directors (BoD);
We have a list of seven members of the BoD. For you to be a member of the BoD, you must have acquired over fifty shares and proposed to the GA for appointment by the CEO. As a member of the BoD, you will approve plans, budgets, innovations, new ventures and any other task as assigned in the BoD’s Leadership Manual. Executive Management (EM);
The EM is the body that runs the day-to-day affairs of the company. The Chief Executive Officer who is also the secretary to the BoD heads EM. The EM is composed of technical personnel who research, innovate, design and implement interventions. Membership to the EM is on merits. We recruit all the EM members through a highly competitive process and select an excellent team to work towards achieving the goals of the company. Three layers constitute the EM, senior management, line management and support management.
In the senior management, we have the CEO, Chief of Operations, Chief of Procurement and Logistics, Chief of Finance and Credits, Chief of Research and Innovation, Chief of Human Resource Management and Development, Chief of Agriwealth and Livelihood Development and Chief of Marketing and Development. The Senior Management is the highest decision-making organ of the company.
The line management constitutes all employees dealing with production. We call them Directors. We have Director of Production – Grains, Director of Production – Horticulture, Director of Production Legumes, Director of Production – Aquaponics, Director of Production Small Ruminants and Director of Credits. In addition, in line management, we have project coordinators. Currently, we have the Coordinator for NIJA Women and NIJA Plus.
