Farm Production
We produce watermelons, cabbages and tomatoes on our farm in the Sopiri Area of Yei Town Payam. In the first season of 2021, we harvested tens of tons of watermelons and cabbages, selling them across Yei River County.
From July to September we successfully halted the importation of watermelons and cabbages from neighbouring countries. We are expanding into broader markets in Juba and positioning to dominate the regional market.
Destiny Stores & Supply
We run stores in Koboko and Arua, Uganda, selling our BEST 1 first-class maize flour, with new outlets planned for Yei and Juba, South Sudan, by the close of 2022.
Institutions with a Call for Supply can source from us. We enter supply contracts within our profiled enterprises, with all deliveries made directly to the client's chosen location upon order.
The NIJA Plus Project
We work with young men and women to produce and harvest over 30,000 cabbages and tomatoes in three months. Each participant selects 1,000 seedlings from our Green House Facility at a subsidised price and repays within four months of their first harvest.
Every beneficiary undergoes 21 days of intensive agronomic training before receiving seedlings. We also provide cash for fungicides, pesticides and growth boosters. A Dual Purpose Chicken Breed project is planned to further diversify incomes.
The NIJA Women Project
Beneficiaries are identified through a Poverty Indicator Survey. Each qualifying woman proposes three ideas to tackle her poverty challenges, which a panel of five evaluates using the Cost Benefit Analysis tool — selecting one enterprise based on suitability, profitability and sustainability.
Beneficiaries undergo five days of business training on enterprise setup, pricing, record keeping and customer care. We have funded over 65 business and farm ideas, issuing loans under Green Credit Loan Guidelines while encouraging all members to save.
